Session 1

Foundations of Change Management:  Understanding People, Systems, and Resistance

4 Hours · Live Virtual

We begin where every successful change initiative must with people. In this opening session you'll explore the fundamentals of organizational change, why most initiatives fail, and what the research tells us about how humans actually experience transition. You'll be introduced to the APMG Change Management framework and begin building the foundation for your certification.

You'll leave this session with a completely different understanding of what resistance really is and what to do about it.

Session 2

Planning for Change:

Stakeholders, Communication, and Alignment 

4 Hours · Live Virtual

Change without a plan is just disruption. In this session you'll learn how to identify and map stakeholders, design communication strategies that build trust rather than create anxiety, and develop change plans that account for the human dynamics at play. You'll practice real-world stakeholder alignment scenarios and leave with tools you can apply immediately in your organization.

Session 3 

The Messy Middle:

Engagement, Adoption, and Resilience

4 Hours · Live Virtual

This is where change gets hard  the messy middle where momentum stalls, resistance resurfaces, and leaders question whether it's working. Session 3 gives you the tools to navigate this phase with confidence. You'll learn how to measure adoption, sustain engagement, support team resilience, and keep people moving forward even when the path feels uncertain.

Session 4 

Sustaining Change + Certification Preparation, 

4 Hours · Live Virtual

The final session focuses on what happens after the initiative how to embed change into culture, measure lasting impact, and prevent the regression that undoes so much hard work. We close with dedicated certification preparation reviewing key APMG concepts, walking through exam format and strategy, and making sure every participant walks in to their exam ready and confident.
